The four section bands are averaged and rounded to the nearest half band, with .25 and .75 rounding upwards. Your target check uses the requirements you enter; it does not establish admission or visa eligibility. The raw-score helper reports broad official reference ranges, because precise cut-offs vary by test version. Use your reported section bands for the overall calculation.
