CGPA to Percentage
Convert your CGPA to a percentage with your board or university's formula, or enter the rule from your marksheet.
Choosing the right conversion rule
Find your rule
Your institution's rule decides the percentage. Check your marksheet, conversion certificate or the institution's published guidance.
Pick a preset or a custom rule
Presets multiply your CGPA by a fixed factor. A custom rule subtracts an offset first, then multiplies.
Check the result
We round to two decimals. A result outside 0 to 100% means the CGPA or the rule needs another look.
An example
A CGPA of 8.0 with the CBSE rule, which multiplies by 9.5.
8.0 × 9.5 = 76.00%
Common questions
Is there one formula for every university?
No. CGPA × 9.5 and CGPA × 10 are both used, but neither applies everywhere. Use the rule your institution states.
Is this result an official equivalence?
No. It applies the formula you choose. Submit your institution's conversion or equivalence certificate where an application asks for one.
What if my CGPA isn't on a 10-point scale?
This tool uses the 10-point scale. For other scales, use your institution's own conversion.
