Study abroad planning
Study Abroad Cost Planner
Build your full-course budget from tuition, living costs and one-time expenses, then subtract your scholarships. Enter all costs in INR.
How it works
Total budget = (annual tuition × months ÷ 12 + monthly living costs × months + one-time costs) × (1 + contingency ÷ 100). Funding to arrange is that budget minus total scholarships, with a minimum of ₹0. Use your own estimates in INR; there are no assumed country prices or live exchange rates.
An example
For 24 months: ₹15,00,000 annual tuition, ₹75,000 monthly living costs and ₹2,00,000 one-time costs total ₹50,00,000. A 10% buffer adds ₹5,00,000. Subtract ₹5,00,000 in scholarships.
Common questions
Can I use a university’s foreign-currency fee quote?
Convert the quote to INR using the exchange rate you plan to budget with, then enter the INR amount. Keep the same currency for tuition, living costs, one-time expenses and scholarships.
How do I enter tuition that is charged by semester?
Add the tuition for a full 12-month period. The planner spreads that annual amount evenly over your chosen course length.
